Campus Overview

DePauw University is a selective private liberal arts college located in the small town of Greencastle, Indiana. With approximately 2,000 undergraduate students, DePauw offers an intimate academic environment with personalized learning opportunities.


Location & Setting Rural small-town setting in central Indiana, located about an hour west of Indianapolis. Greencastle is a quiet, traditional Midwestern town with a classic college-town atmosphere. The campus is compact and walkable, integrated closely with the surrounding community.

Campus Life Strong Greek life is a defining feature of campus social culture, with over 60% of students participating in fraternities and sororities. Residential life is close-knit, with most students living on campus or in Greek housing. Weekend activities tend to center around campus events, student organizations, and local social gatherings.

Limited public transportation means most students rely on personal vehicles or campus shuttle services.
